Our Key Winter Tips:

​

  • Keep checking that your greenhouse heaters are working, and your winter protection structures are still securely in place.  You can place cloches over tender plants to give them extra protection from frost.

  • Make sure your pond does not freeze.  

  • Prune apple and pear trees

  • Your leeks, parsnips, winter cabbages and sprouts should be ready for harvesting. However, make sure they are stored away from mice. 

  • You can work off Christmas excesses by digging over bare areas of ground

  • You may need to do one last collection of autumn leaves 

  • Keep your paths clean and remove moss and lichen.

  • Treat timber sheds and fences with preservatives

  • Wrap insulation around garden taps

  • Prune tall bush roses, ornamental vines, deciduous hedges, trees and shrubs.

“Hi, my name is Tegan Aplin, and in the summer [2019] I went to South India with World Challenge for 16 days. To go on this trip I had to raise £3,100, which I did through generous donations from local businesses and by doing backyard sales, car boot sales, babysitting, and car washes. We went trekking for 5 days through the Western Ghats, which had such amazing views. We then helped in a local primary school tiling the school floors and teaching the children English and Maths. Helping at the school was very heartwarming. I loved every minute in India, doing things I would never normally do, thanks to this amazing company and World Challenge.”

We have set out clear and practical requirements that our employees are to take to ensure we carry out our work as safely as possible. 

 

If you have a meeting with a member of Fullers Landscaping, please let us know whether you would like us to wear a face covering. When we build your dream garden, our landscaping team will have handwashing facilities, hand sanitiser, disinfectant and face coverings available to them. We will also ensure that a portable toilet is on-site so they do not need to enter your property. 

 

We constantly check government advice to ensure we work within good practice guidelines.
